Chubby baby

The following is extracted from BabyCentre:

"Your baby may start gaining almost as much as 1kg -- around 2lb -- a month at this stage (although this will slow down as he gets closer to his first birthday). Your health visitor will use standard growth charts to track your baby's weight gain but don't get too obsessive about these measurements. As long as your baby has a good appetite, he is growing at a steady pace and your health visitor says all is well, it doesn't matter what percentile he's on. If your baby has just started smiling, you can take advantage of his new ability to show joy by making him grin and giggle. Silly faces, funny noises and blowing bubbles are all tried-and-tested hits with tiny babies."

Ilis is a 9-week old baby now and the above describes her aptly!

Since birth, she has been gaining weight well. Her weight was 4.495 kg when we last weighed her on 2 September. I think she is putting more weight each day as my hands are getting tired easily now. She is definitely chubbier as compared to Iden when he was about the same age.

Ilis' is also a smiley baby. She will smile and coo at whoever is carrying her. Her smile is really contagious. I am pretty sure you will smile too when you see her pictures below :-)
